177 militants in the north of the province of Homs surrendered after talks with the Russian center of reconciliation. All of them signed an amnesty agreement, which saves them from prosecution in exchange for the cessation of hostilities.
All those who surrender are Islamist militants from Talbisekh and Rastan – two fortified settlements occupied by terrorists. The surrenders are members of the terrorist groups Akhrar ash Sham and Tahrir ash Sham (a coalition of the terrorist organization Jebhat An Nusra *, banned in Russia).
As noted, the main role in the surrender of militants was captured by the Russian reconciliation center, which for several weeks negotiated with them.
* The organization is banned in the territory of the Russian Federation.
