US President Donald Trump targeted the media as he spoke in a campaign-style rally in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday, calling journalists “truly dishonest people” and defending his statement following a blood-tainted white supremacists’ rally in Charlottesville.
Addressing his supporters, Trump stated, “You have some very fair journalists, but for the most part, honestly these are really really dishonest people,” adding, “they are trying to take away our history and our heritage.”
