The Syrian Arab Army reportedly seized control of Humaymah area in the eastern countryside of Homs, Tuesday, in a continuing effort to break the siege of Deir ez-Zor occupied by fighters of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL).
Footage captured destroyed vehicles and abandoned buildings as the IS militants fled the location. The forces taking part in the operation were also seen hoisting Syrian flags in the area.
