Russia: GoT’s George R. R. Martin shies away from Russian politics at St. Petersburg Q&A

George R. R. Martin, writer of book series A Song of Ice and Fire that went on to inspire the hit TV series Game of Thrones, declined to comment on Russian politics during a St. Petersburg press conference, Wednesday, saying to Russians “You’ll have to sort that out yourselves.”

Speaking about a possible place for Russia in the popular fantasy series, Martin said he didn’t think “there is a room for me to kind of squeeze” the country in between the seven existing kingdoms in Westeros.
