If there’s one person who’s mastered the art of the one-tweet shutdown, it’s J.K. Rowling.
Whether the person on the receiving end is a troll hiding behind a frog avatar or the president of the United States, Rowling only needs 140 characters.
On Monday, she had her sights set on two targets: Donald Trump (once again) and Fox News.
It started with this tweet:
Stephen Miller: “President #Trump‘s the most gifted politician of our time, and he’s the best orator to hold that office in generations.” pic.twitter.com/kmulH35MEr
— Fox News (@FoxNews) August 9, 2017
An hour later, the Harry Potter author hit back with this:
On the eve of war, tributes are paid to the Dear Leader’s silver tongue and godlike wisdom.
Wonder what’s happening in North Korea. https://t.co/5qrFXr3qL1

Having successfully Expelliarmus’d Fox, she moved on to the man himself.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
