More than 44% of German residents supported the words of the German politician Christian Lindner concerning the status of the Crimea. Such results were shown by an Internet poll conducted by the Civey Institute, commissioned by the Die Welt outlet. More than 5,000 respondents took part in the survey.

The head of the liberal Free Democratic Party, Lindner, earlier said that at the present time it is necessary to leave disputes about the status of the Republic of Crimea and to treat the current state of things as a “long-term temporary phenomenon”.

Lindner have received the maximum approval from supporters of his party. In addition, the position of the politician is mostly approved by the voters of the “Alternative for Germany” party.
