US Navy plan to create service for monitoring social networks in Russian, English and French

The US Navy Ministry plans to create a service for monitoring social networks, media, blogs and forums to analyze sources in Russian, English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese, as well as dialects distributed in China.

The Ministry published a tender to search for a contractor that will monitor.

“Service for the analysis of information from the media and social networks, acting on a subscription basis, must carry out tasks to monitor information from news resources and social networks,” said in the document published by the agency.

The collection of information on social networks and the media will be carried out on the basis of requests from the US Navy.

In addition, the contractor must “establish a command center for working with social networks,” which will provide the agency with information on events of interest to him.

For example, if there are reports of a dangerous situation or a threat to the US Navy, employees will receive alerts on smartphones and e-mail.
