The sixth round of talks on Syria in Astana may take place on August 14-15, an informed source in diplomatic circles told Interfax.
“Regular talks in Astana may take place earlier than planned for the end of August, approximately, the date is fixed for August 14-15,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan does not yet have information on the date of the next round in Astana.
“I do not have such information, I do not have such data,” said Anuar Zhainakov, head of the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, to journalists in Astana on Tuesday.
The previous five rounds of talks on Syria took place on the Astana platform on January 23-24, February 15-16, March 14-15, May 3-4, July 4-5 this year.
