Two people died as a result of an attack by a group of militants on Monday on the diplomatic representation of Iraq in the capital of Afghanistan.
According to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, two Afghan security guards have become victims of the terrorist attacks.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, four militants participated in the attack. At first the terrorist made a self-bombing at the entrance to the Iraqi embassy, after which his accomplices rushed into the complex’s territory.
As specified in the department, the Afghan special forces evacuated the diplomatic staff to a safe place. The Iraqi diplomatic mission confirmed that the Charge d’Affaires of the country in Afghanistan is in the embassy of Egypt.
Responsibility for the attack was assumed by the grouping of ISIS (banned in the Russian Federation).
