POLL: GERMAN RESIDENTS SAY AGAINST NEW ANTI-RUSSIAN SANCTIONS OF USA

83% of Germans are against new sanctions, which the US is going to introduce against Russia. Such data was shown by a survey of the Forsa Institute commissioned by Wintershall, which is involved in the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. This is reported by RenTV.

Only 6% of Germans support the introduction of sanctions, another 11% have not decided on their position on this issue. It is noted that the survey of German citizens reported that the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation could also have a negative impact on German and European companies.

Earlier German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said that Germany would not tolerate and agree if the next US sanctions against the Russian Federation would be harmful to their companies.

The House of Representatives of the US Congress adopted a bill on sanctions against the Russian Federation, Iran and North Korea. Now the document should be considered by the Senate, and then, if approved, will go to President Donald Trump for signature. A new package of restrictive measures in case of adoption may become the largest and most comprehensive since the beginning of 2014, although it basically fixes sanctions already in force against the Russian Federation. In the Kremlin, they said that they very badly assess the bill.
