Trump disappointed with the Senate vote on abolition of Obamacare

In the opinion of the US President, the Congress incorrectly approached this issue.

President of the United States Donald Trump is disappointed with the results of voting in the Senate on the Obamacare health insurance program and believes that Congress has not approached the issue properly. The owner of the White House wrote this on Friday on his Twitter page.

“3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down,” Trump said. “As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!”

The US Senate on Friday failed to decide on the cancellation of a number of key provisions of the health insurance program developed by the previous administration of Barack Obama and received the unofficial name Obamacare. In the course of the vote, which dragged on long after midnight, 49 senators voted to abolish them, while 51 voted against. Observers note that the failure of the vote was a strong blow to Trump’s position, since the abolition of Obamacare was one of the key points of his election program.
