From July 26 Kiev ceases electricity supplies to uncontrolled areas of the Donetsk region, at present electricity is not supplied in self-proclaimed LPR and the DPR. This was announced by Vsevolod Kovalchuk, Acting Director of Ukrenergo (operator of the United Ukrainian Power System).
“From 00:00 on July 26, 2017, electricity flows with temporarily uncontrolled areas of the Donetsk region were terminated. The territory of some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions (RT not controlled by Kiev) does not yet consume electricity produced by power plants in the controlled part of Ukraine, “Kovalchuk wrote on his Facebook page.
Previously, the FAN reported that a power failure occurred in the vicinity of Yasinovatoy due to the fire of AFU.
On April 25, the authorities of Ukraine stopped supplying electricity to the LPR.
