Kabul blast claimed lives of 24

A total of 24 people were killed and over 40 injured in the explosion that occurred on Monday morning in Kabul, local media reported citing the country’s Interior Ministry. 

According to the TOLOnews broadcaster, the numbers were confirmed by Najib Danish, the ministry’s spokesman.

The blast occurred at 06:45 a.m. local time (02:45 GMT) in Kabul’s Police District 3, near the house of second Chief Executive of Afghanistan Mohammad Mohaqiq.

Earlier in the day, the Afghan Health Ministry said that 12 people were killed in the explosion.
