Iraqi Vice President Nouri Maliki will pay a visit to Moscow on Sunday to hold meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the country’s senior officials.
Within his four-day visit Maliki is expected to hold meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko alongside Putin.
The Iraqi vice president told Sputnik in an interview published on Friday that he would discuss, in particular, supplies of Russian weapons to the Iraqi armed forces.
Maliki is expected to lead a delegation of the republic’s lawmakers.
