Syria: Russian servicemen bring humanitarian aid to villages in Hama

Servicemen of the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties distributed humanitarian aid at the Syrian village of Maardis in the province of Hama, Friday. 

A local resident said, “We have big problems with water, water pipes, roads, there is no electricity. The whole village is destroyed; it is very difficult with food. Thank you very much for your help and support.”

SOT, Abdulatif Asaf, local resident (Arabic): “I worked as a teacher, our school was destroyed, nothing remained. We really need to rebuild the building. There is nowhere to teach children. We have large families. People today have to carry schoolchildren for 40 kilometres to the city of Hama.”
