US: Muslims criticize position of Supreme Court

The court’s position will lead to an increase in the number of crimes motivated by Islamophobia in the US, warned the Council for US-Islamic Relations

The Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) opposed the decision of the US Supreme Court to partially enforce the decree of Donald Trump on visa restrictions for citizens of several countries.

The head of CAIR, Nihad Awad, warned that the court decision would lead to an increase in the number of crimes motivated by Islamophobia.

Aouad expressed outrage at the fact that recently Muslims who have a visa and other documents for staying in the United States, as well as members of the Muslim community of the United States, have been thoroughly questioned. “It is unacceptable. We hope that the judges of the Supreme Court will understand that the leadership of the country should not be allowed to oppress any community, “said the head of CAIR.
