Syrian president’s son: It’s not a civil war but invasive one

The Syrian authorities and the people are united in the fight against the invaders who occupied the country. This opinion was expressed by the son of Syrian President Hafez Bashar al-Assad, RT writes. The son of the Syrian leader came to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the mathematical Olympiad.

“I am a Syrian citizen, the same as others. I live and see all the horror which is happening in our country <…> This is not a civil war, it is an invasive war. This is a war against the people. The people and the government are united in the fight against the invaders who occupied the country,” he said.

Syrian president’s son said that he always lived like an ordinary child and is not going to leave Syria.

“I know what kind of person my father is. People say a lot (about him. – ed.). Many are blind. But this does not reflect reality,” Hafez Assad responded to a question about what he feels when his father is called a dictator.
