Media: US Senate intends to start voting soon on draft law on sanctions against Russia

The draft law on sanctions against Russia, Iran and the DPRK, which was discussed by senators last month, may return to the US Senate for voting before the start of the August holidays. This was stated by the chairman of the Senate Committee on International Affairs Bob Corker.

According to Politico, the adoption of a package of anti-Russian sanctions has been suspended, as Democrats oppose changes that might prevent them from influencing Trump’s actions on restrictions on Russia.

In June, it was reported that US senators had agreed on a bill that would extend sanctions against Russia.
