ISIS centers in Deir ez-Zor, Homs destroyed in Russian airstrikes

The Russian and Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat flights over ISIS movements and positions near Deir ez-Zor city and in Eastern Homs, killing tens of terrorists.

The Syrian warplanes bombed ISIS positions on al-Kanamat bridges and in the outskirts of Deir ez-Zor city, while the Russian and Syrian fighter jets carried out repeated attacks on ISIS movements in Huweja Sakar region in Southeastern Deir ez-Zor and two neighborhoods of al-Kanamat and al-Sina’ah. 

Field sources, meantime, said that the air raids also hit ISIS movements in the village of Humeimeh in Eastern Homs near the border with Deir ez-Zor province.

The sources said that tens of ISIS terrorists were killed or wounded and their military vehicles were destroyed in the air attacks.

Relevant reports said on Wednesday that the army aircraft carried out repeated combat flights over ISIS strongholds in Um Tweineh East of Jubb al-Jarrah, destroying a depot of arms and ammunition, a bomb-laden vehicle and a tank and its munition, and killing over 21 terrorists.

In the meantime, the army soldiers that captured al-Heil gas and oil fields on Monday and Tuesday continued their operation towards the town of al-Sukhnah, the last bastion of ISIS in Eastern Homs.

Reports said, meantime, that the army dispatched several military convoys to Palmyra city to reinvigorate its forces for the final phase of the al-Sukhnah liberation operation. 

Al-Sukhnah is the last bastion of ISIS fighters in Homs and the last strategic barrier in front of the pro-government forces to lift the siege of Deir ez-Zor.
