Damjanovic: rejection of anti-Russian sanctions is chance for Serbian producers

“Serbia has unique customs conditions with Russia, and the refusal to introduce anti-Russian sanctions is a chance for Serbian producers,” –  said Miljan Damjanovic, one of the leaders of the Serbian Radical Party.

The press conference was dedicated to the statement of the new Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic. She said that she will choose the EU between the EU and Russia.

“Apart from political consequences, Russia is our defender in Kosovo and Metohija,” Damjanovic added.

The SRP (Serbian Radical Party) demands that the President of Serbia, Alexander Vucic, respond to the Prime Minister’s statement, which has already sparked a heated discussion in the public.

Serbia has not joined sanctions against Moscow, but opponents of joining the EU warn that if the European integration continues, Belgrade will be forced to do it, to the detriment of its own economy.
