In Montenegro, MPs from the opposition bloc Democratic Front have been spending nights in the parliament building for about a week in protest against the case against one of their leaders, Nebojsa Medojevic.
The parliamentarians stated that they would not leave their protest rally until the prosecutor’s office gave a guarantee that Medojevic would not be arrested during the trial. Guarantees have not yet been received.
Nebojsa Medojevic is accused of economic crimes. However, the DF is sure that the case has political matter. In time it practically coincided with Montenegro’s entry into NATO, which the DF fiercely opposed, insisting on a referendum on this issue.
