SAA breaks through Ayn Tarma security lines north-east of Damascus

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) fought against militants in Damascus on Sunday, breaking through their defensive line in the Ayn Tarma area.

The command of the government army has denied the statement of the Faylaq ar-Rahman formation about the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian troops in Ayn Tarma in the north-east of Damascus. Opposition portals claimed that 30 militants of the group were poisoned. Nevertheless, the staff of the Center for the reconciliation of the warring parties, working in the neighboring region, did not record any signs of chemical attack. In fact, all chemical weapons in Syria were destroyed by the Syrian government in 2014.

Several explosions rocked Damascus. Reuters reported that a suicide bomber destroyed three cars, and after he was surrounded by Syrian security forces, he activated the shahid belt. According to preliminary data, 21 people died.
