Montenegro prepares arrest of opposition MP, coalition spent night in Parliament

The Parliament of Montenegro, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, stripped the parliamentary immunity of one of the leaders of the Democratic Front, Nebojsa Medojevic. Co-workers in the coalition are sure that the next step will be the arrest of Medojevic.

As a sign of protest against this decision and in support of Medoevic, they spent the whole night in parliament. The oppositionists said they would not leave until the prosecutor’s office provided guarantees that Medoevich would not be arrested.

The opposition bloc of the Democratic Front in Montenegro opposed the entry into NATO without a referendum.
