ISIS heavily defeated in Deir Ezzur

The Syrian army, supported by the air force, repulsed ISIS attacks against the military positions in Deir Ezzur, inflicting a heavy defeat on the militants.

The Syrian troops engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIS terrorists who wanted to occupy al-Roshdiyeh district in Deir Ezzur, leaving several militants dead and repelling their offensive.

Meantime, the army’s artillery units targeted ISIS moves near the regions of al-Maqaber (cemetery), al-Roshdiyeh, al-Huwaiqeh, al-Baliqiyeh and areas near Brigade 137, killing over 18 ISIS militants and smashing several of their military vehicles.

Also, the Russian and Syrian fighter jets launched several attacks on ISIS positions and moves near Huwaijeh al-Mariyeh region near Panorama and the paper factory in Southern Deir Ezzur and al-Bu Lail in the Southern parts of Deir Ezzur, inflicting heavy damage on the terrorists.

The Syrian warplanes also heavily pounded the ISIS positions in Wadi Tharda, two districts of al-Huwaiqeh and al-Roshdiyeh, the villages of al-Husseiniyeh, al-Shoula and Ma’adan and the town of Mu Hassan, killing a number of militants.
