At least 15 Killed in Southern Afghanistan car bomb blast

At least 15 people and up to 24 people may have been killed in a car bomb blast outside a bank in the southern Afghan city of Lashkargah, local media quoted officials as saying Thursday.

The TOLOnews broadcaster, after citing the spokesman for the provincial governor Omar Zwak in providing the figure, later cited a security source as saying the death toll has risen to least 24 people killed.

The official said nearly 60 others were wounded in the attack near the New Kabul Bank branch in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand province.
