The Syrian army units engaged in heavy clashes with ISIS terrorists who were trying to penetrate into areas near Ain al-Dananir village and West of al-Moshrefeh town from Ain Hossein Jonoubi village Northeast of Homs and foiled their attacks.
The Syrian government troops killed most of the invaders and forced the rest of them to flee the scene.
On the other hand, other Syrian army troops engaged in heavy clashes with Al-Nusra Front terrorists near the two villages of Marimien and Qarmes in al-Holeh region in the Northwestern part of Homs. The Al-Nusra Front terrorists had attacked the government troops’ military positions in areas near al-Houleh region.
Meantime, the Syrian army’s artillery and missile units also pounded the Al-Nusran Front’s military positions in the same region, killing and injuring a number of terrorists as well as destroying their military vehicles.
The Syrian air force also hit hard areas under the Al-Nusra Front’s control in the village of Kafr Laha, Al-Tayyeba Qarbi and Tal Zahab in the outskirts of al-Houleh, inflicting heavy losses on them.
In a relevant development on Monday, the Syrian army kept momentum of its march on ISIS positions in Homs, and deployed troops at the entrance of the terrorist group’s last stronghold in the Eastern parts of the province.
The army units managed to fully recapture the protected area of Talileh (Mahmieh al-Talileh) East of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur).
