According to the UN, the number of deaths increased by 48% compared to last year. This was stated by the chairman of the United Nations Monitoring Mission for Human Rights in Ukraine Fiona Fraser.
According to her, the conflict in the Donbas leads to depriving people of their rights and what was agreed upon within the framework of the Minsk agreements.
“Between February 16 and May 15, 2017, the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights recorded 193 civilians who suffered from the conflict in Ukraine: 36 were killed and 157 were injured. This is 48% more than in the previous reporting period and 70% more than in the same period last year, “she said.
