Russian Air Force planes delivered humanitarian aid to Deir ez-Zor, besieged by terrorists of the Islamic State. The humanitarian aid includes food, medicine and fuel. At the moment, aviation is the only way to deliver anything to Deir ez-Zor.
Deir ez-Zor has been in a state of siege for more than three years now. ISIS militants almost every day make attempts to break through the line of defense of the Syrian army, which consists mainly of self-defense forces.
