Iraq: Al-Hashd Al-Sha’abi fighters in mass offensive on ISIS terrorists in Nineveh province

The units of the Iraqi People’s Mobilization Forces (PMF) ‘Al-Hashd Al-Sha’abi’ attack the militants of the ISIS terrorist organization in the province of Nineveh.

The operation for the liberation of the western part of Mosul, the administrative center of Nineveh and the unofficial capital of ISIS, has been conducted since February this year with the participation of the aviation of the international coalition led by the United States. At the end of March, Iraqi security forces decided to halt a massive offensive because of the increased number of casualties, but on April 14 battles for the city center resumed.
