Government forces and militia units have blocked a large group of terrorists near the city of Deir Hafer in Syria’s Aleppo province and are destroying it, Head of the Russian General Staff’s Main Operations Department, Sergei Rudskoi, told a press briefing on Tuesday.
“In the northeast of the Aleppo province, government forces and militia units developing an offensive have completely blocked a large group of terrorists in the area close to the city of Deir Hafer. An operation to eliminate it is underway,” he said.
He noted that the Russian Aerospace Forces continue to support the Syrian army, which is fighting against terrorist groups.
