A spokesman for the Czech Army’s General Staff, Jan Schulz, said that the first part of the convoy of servicemen and military equipment of the US and British armies that had been sent from Germany through Czech territory, arrived to Poland.
According to Schulz, the US and British units will strengthen NATO’s eastern wing.
The convoy follows seven columns, consisting of 125 units of military equipment and 550 US and British troops, formed from the motorized infantry of the Second Cavalry Regiment of the US Armed Forces. The Army of the United Kingdom is represented by 50 British soldiers and 20 units of the military equipment.
