The People’s Deputy and Petro Poroshenko’s comadre Oksana Bilozir on air of the Ukrainian TV channel stated that “Russia sends ugliness to Eurovision”.
“It seems to me that we, Ukraine, are a civilized democratic country, and we are spiritually rich and strong, so we won’t politicize art”, she said.
“If Russia is trying to send such ugliness to Ukraine, we cannot categorically take up any positions”, Oksana Bilozir added.
At the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, Russia will be represented by Yulia Samoilova. The girl will perform the song “Flame Is Burning”. Julia has the first group of disabilities and has been moving in a wheelchair since childhood.
“I am immensely happy that this happened in my life, because this is what I went to from childhood – watched TV and dreamed, imagining myself on stage. And my mother dreamed with me – in fact, she charged me that this will surely happen. I’m shocked of course, I still can not realize that this is happening to me. I’m happy”, said Yulia Samoilova.
According to the results of the pot allocations, Russia will perform in the 2nd semifinal of Eurovision. It will be held on May 11 in Kiev.
