Mothers who protesters in Montenegro due to the reduction of social payments, declared a dry hunger strike. This was announced at the rally on the eve by one of the leaders of the movement Zelka Savkovic.
She also called all citizens who respect the institution of family and motherhood to join the protest.
State payments to third and subsequent children in Montenegro were raised before the elections in October last year, and after the formation of the government were immediately lowered by about a quarter, which naturally caused indignation of mothers, as well as other socially unprotected layers (disabled, pensioners) who understand than it is dangerous to cut spending on social needs.
