In consequence of allegedly careless weapon handling a child was killed in the so-called ATO area. This was reported by human rights activist of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group Maria Tsipiashchuk on the air of “Gromadske radio”.
“There were such accidents. For example, when a child was killed right in the house because of careless weapon handling by one of the servicemen – according to a preliminary version, it is not being investigated now”, said the human rights activist.
According to her, the monitoring mission of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, along with the Kharkiv Human Rights Group, have visited the villages of Novotroitskoye, Chermalyk, Pavlopol and Granitnoye last week.
