The Syrian army units repelled an attack of the Jabhat Fatah al Sham terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front and outlawed in Russia, on the southern city of Daraa, local media reported on Saturday, citing a military source.
The terrorists attacked al-Manshiyeh neighborhood, but clashed with government forces that managed to repulse the attack, the SANA news agency reported.
According to the military source, many of the militants were killed during the clashes, and an artillery battery, two armored cars and a vehicle with a machine gun were destroyed as well.
