Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro decided not to arrest opposition deputies

Chief State Prosecutor of Montenegro Ivica Stankovic issued an order which prohibits the detention of opposition MPs Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic.

On the eve this decision was adopted by the Special Prosecutor Kantic, and in this connection Mandic and Knežević today were lifted of parliamentary immunity. The vote was followed by massive street protests and even a brawl between MPs and police.

Mandic and Knezevic are accused of involvement in the coup attempt on October 16. The Democratic Front is sure that this case, as does the “fake” coup  are political actions of the ruling pro-Western Democratic Party of Socialists.
