The official decision of the Swiss Federal Court on the case of sidelining from participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Russian athletes Yelena Isinbayeva and Sergei Shubenkov are based on non-compliance of the criteria of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
“I have received an official response from the Swiss tribunal: the decision that they made was based on the fact that in any case we would not be able to meet the criteria of the International Olympic Committee, so they decided that there is no point in suspension of CAS solutions”, Shubenkov said.
