According to the statement published on the Sakhalin regional government’s website, Iida Group Holdings representatives have traveled to the island to make a closer evaluation of the timber project, which is expected to produce up to 750,000 cubic meters a year.
“Our holding was created only recently, three years ago, but we already have offices in several countries. Now we are considering options on where to put a factory for the production of housing units. Sakhalin has great potential in this regard,” the head of the company’s international department, Yuji Kurose, said following the visit.
Iida Group Holdings consists of seven companies specializing in the construction of private houses and apartment buildings, as well as the production of timber and construction components. Companies within the holding cooperate with various countries, including Russia.
