US State Department spokesman Mark Toner refused to answer the question whether Washington supports the group that conducted the chemical attack on the Syrian Aleppo and at the same time included into the US list of the so-called moderate opposition.
During the briefing, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said he knew nothing about the “Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki” group that on August 2 allegedly conducted chemical attack in Aleppo.
To the question “whether the United States will support the militants after the incident”, he answered:
“I have not seen the reports yet. Of course, we are opposed to any chemical weapons, as for the other questions, I have no papers whether we fund this organization”,- said Toner.
However, he declined to comment on the fact if “Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki” is included in the US list of the so-called moderate opposition.
