Foreign Minister of Serbia compared the coup d’état in Turkey with Belgrade in 2000

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic condemned the coup in Turkey, at the same time saying that he sees the similarity of the situation in this country with the events in Belgrade on October 5, 2000.

“It didn’t bring anything to the Serbian people, it won’t bring anything to Turkish people.  I am sure that this coup has a lot of interference from side”, said Dacic.

During the bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, former Mayor of London, and now head of the Foreign Ministry of Great Britain, Conservative Boris Johnson was against this operation and during the attacks was in Serbia.

In 2000 there was a coup in Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), which political scientists characterize as the first “color revolution”.
