Several Turkish “soldiers who carried the service at the NATO at Incirlik airbase in Turkey, were involved in the preparation of a coup d’etat”. This was announced on Saturday by the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Çavuşoğlu also noted that “the operation against the rebels at the air base is completed”. According to him, Turkey will resume raids on positions of the “Islamic state” (IS, banned in Russia) terrorist group with the coalition led by the United States in the near future.
The Minister of National Defence of Turkey Fikri Işık stated earlier, that the authorities have taken “some measures” in relation to the base.
