The Netherlands does not rule out changes in the text of the agreement on association between Ukraine and the European Union for its ratification, said the Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
“In Ukraine, we need a binding legal decision that will respond to the concerns and the elements of the debate in the Netherlands, which led to the referendum. I don’t know yet about the exact form. We may have to change the text, perhaps we will find a solution that will not concern the text of the association agreement”, told Rutte to journalists after the EU summit.
He noted that “the main thing is with a binding legal way to respond to the concerns expressed during the debate in the Netherlands”.
