At least six people were killed and 15 more injured in a suicide bombing attack near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, media reported Saturday.
“Iraqi Police — six killed and 15 wounded, as a suicide bombing took place north of Baghdad”, Al-Hadath news channel said on its Twitter account.
Iraq has been a target for suicide bombings for years. The deadly terror attacks are conducted by different radical groups, such as the Daesh.
Daesh is an extremist Sunni militant group, which occupies vast territories of Iraq, as well as of neighboring Syria, and denounces the Shia Muslims who make up almost 70 percent of the Iraqi population as infidels. Daesh, which is outlawed in many countries, including Russia, has carried out numerous terror attacks and committed many human rights atrocities in the country.
