Thousands of far-right protesters are expected to demonstrate against German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her refugee policies in the centre of Berlin on Saturday, May 7.
Organised by the far-right group ‘we for Berlin & we for Germany’, the event will call for Merkel to step down and for the reintroduction of border controls in the European Union; and the protection and promotion of ‘family values.’ The anti-fascist alliance ‘Berlin Nazifrei‘ is expected to protest against the gathering, calling for an end to attacks and protests against refugees.
