During the Friday meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov, members of the Foreign Affairs Commission from the Italian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies from the movement “Five Stars” Alessandro Di Battista and Manlio Di Stefano have spoke out for the lifting of the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU.
The sides exchanged views on the development of Russian-Italian relations and the state of relations between Russia and the EU. Italian parliamentarians were in favor of all-round development of bilateral cooperation, in favor of lifting anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the European Union.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting “were also discussed topical issues of the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine, the problems of the Libyan and Syrian arrangement of conflicts”.
