EU demand to appease ‘political storm’ in Ukraine

German Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier during a meeting with his French colleague declared that “the situation in the Ukrainian politics resembles a storm” and this country needs to decrease speed.

It causes a big concern in Europe, because Ukraine is facing big challenges. Reforms in Ukraine should not stop. The country needs both political stabilization and the continuation of reforms, – said Steinmeier.

In turn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Marc Ayrault said that official Kiev needs an effective government and parliament for the realization of necessary reforms.

Recall, this month the so-called majority coalition in the Ukrainian parliament had finally broke up. It happened after “Self-help” faction decided to pull out of it. In response, Yulia Tymoshenko has withdrawn her faction “Batkivshchyna” from the coalition, previously the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko has done the same.
