The song, sung by Aleksandar Djeparovski, used music from a popular song that was well known during the time of the Iliden—Preobrazhenie Uprising, ”The Mariovo Cried Out”, reports Srna.
The song calls out President Putin to save Macedonia from the EU, NATO, and US. Putin says he will do so, as soon as he finishes the job in Syria and Turkey.
The song became a hit during election season and across social media, and can be heard on local radio stations.
Parliamentary elections in Macedonia will be held on April 24th.
