The explosion rocked the Hamra Street area in the western Syrian city of Homs, local sources told Sputnik on Wednesday.
According to the sources, an explosive device with remote control exploded near a local school. No information on casualties was available at the moment.
On Tuesday, two explosions rocked Homs leaving 22 people dead and over 100 injured.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting several opposition factions and extremist groups, including Islamic State, outlawed in Russia.
