Army establishes full control over al-Sheikh Miskeen, Daraa countryside

A military source told SANA Tuesday that establishing control over the town came as a result of a wide-scale military operation conducted by the army, in cooperation with the supporting units, by the end of last December in al-Sheikh Miskeen area.

The army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment, while the other terrorists fled away leaving their weapons and ammunition behind.

The army units killed a number of terrorists and destroyed the terrorist organizations’ last hotbeds and gatherings in the town, according to the source.

The engineering units of the army combed the town and dismantled the landmines and explosive devices planted by the terrorists in the area, the source added.

Earlier Monday, Army and Armed Forces units advanced on all directions in Sheikh Miskeen, inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in ranks and equipment, as well as launched intensive operations against terrorists’ fortified positions and gatherings which led to establishing control over the road between Sheikh Miskeen and Ibta’a and the road leading to Nawa in Daraa countryside.
