In the course of the last 24 hours, aircraft of the Russian air group in the Syrian Arab Republic have performed 59 combat sorties engaging 212 objects in the Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, Hama, Homs, Hasakah and Raqqah provinces.
Terrorists continue suffering losses of manpower and military hardware.
Just for the last 24 hours, over 320 militants and 34 pieces of armoured and automobile vehicles of terrorists including 2 tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 15 SUVs fitted with large-caliber machine guns DShK have been destroyed.
In order to undermine the income sources of terrorists, during the last 24 hours Russian Su-34 bombers have eliminated 94 oil trucks near Deir ez-Zor settlement.
Near Rashidiya-Ghaubia (Hasakah province), during the “free search” performed by a Su-34 bomber, a column of 15 oil trucks transporting oil products in the northern direction from territories controlled by terrorists was detected and destroyed.
In the Aleppo province, a Su-24 bomber made a strike on an ISIS concentration of manpower and military hardware. Objective monitoring data confirmed elimination of not less than 10 militants and 3 automobile vehicles with large-caliber machine guns.
Near Al-Karatein settlement (Homs province), a Su-24M destroyed a hidden base of the ISIS terrorists. A command centre, an ammunition depot and barracks were equipped in the underground shelters. Direct hits of BETAB-500 air bombs destroyed these terrorist facilities with all the contents.
Near Maarat an-Numan (Idlib province), a Su-25 attack aircraft destroyed a large ISIS base. In a separate building, there was an ammunition and materiel depot, as well as a command centre of illegal armed groups.
Data concerning the coordinates of this object had been received by the Russian Defence Ministry from representatives of the Syrian opposition. After the data had been checked by the Information centre in Baghdad and unmanned aerial vehicles conducted additional reconnaissance of the base, a Su-25 attack aircraft eliminated this facility.
After the combat task performance, all the aircraft of the Russian air group have returned to the Hmeymim airbase.
